Endgame’s Amanda Rousseau Named to Recode 100
Rousseau only cybersecurity expert in rankings list honoring 100 innovators across business, technology, and media
Arlington, VA – December 7, 2017 – Amanda Rousseau, Senior Malware Researcher at Endgame, the leader in endpoint protection against targeted attacks, has been named to the inaugural Recode 100, a list recognizing those who made the biggest impact in their fields in 2017. Rousseau, the sole cybersecurity professional to be featured, was selected for her work at Endgame and dedication to raising awareness about evolving cybersecurity threats, as well as the work she has done to elevate women in technology.
Rousseau, who is an eight year veteran of the security industry, has reverse engineered two of this year’s most sophisticated attacks, WanaCry and Bad Rabbit. Rousseau has also taken a lead role in empowering women and the next generation of coders. She founded VanitySec, a site where fashion and security collide, and shared her experience as a hacker, encouraging others to pursue a career in cybersecurity.
Recode 100 honors the leaders, movement-starters, engineers, negotiators and creatives who have been the most productive and innovative people this year across the industries Recode covers: tech, media, commerce, transportation and more. Honorees were identified by a peer-review committee of 20, featuring both Recode reporters and respected leaders like Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, and Lili Cheng, Corporate Vice President, AI and Research at Microsoft.
The winners of the Recode 100 were honored at a celebration on December 6th in San Francisco. The full Recode 100 list is available here.
